Referment is working closely with a multi-strategy Hedge Fund that are seeking a Front Office Python Developer to work closely with all areas of the business working on their trade flow stack systems. This is an organisation that is going through an exciting phase of growth due to expanding into other markets and performing well over recent years. This change is seeing a positive impact on the technology being implemented and projects available for passionate software engineers.
This role will require the lucky applicant to drive change into modernising the tech stack, which is vital for all areas of the business. You will need to be a Python enthusiast with strong experience in building financial applications/systems. Ideally you will have a wide range of experience with Python libraries and packages and be able to build systems end-to-end. This firm uses a 3rd party system known as Front Arena for their position management on workflows so any experience on this will be ideal, but not a deal breaker.

Key Requirements:
- Strong Python Programming experience
- An innovative technologist capable of working on distributed systems using technologies like Kafka, Pandas, Flask and AWS.
- Previously worked within the Financial Service spac
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with all areas of the business such as Quants, Traders, and Portfolio Managers
- Experienced with working on financial trading systems.
- A degree in computer science or similar discipline
- A passionate programmer looking for an opportunity to rearchitect systems and implement newer technologies within their tech stack.
- Experience with Front Arena – Advantageous
