Referment is working with a leading hedge fund on a search to find a Senior Python Developer for their Core Engineering team in London. This firm takes pride in utilising the best technologies and practices to make them competitive across the buy-side space. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experience Python Developer to partner with portfolio management and technology teams to define architecture standards and apply best cloud practices for their core technology stack.
You’ll be responsible for driving the evolution of their systems and overseeing the delivery of software and infrastructure enhancements. This role will involve working closely with the DevOps, Cloud and Infrastructure teams to ensure the company is utilizing best in breed technologies across the stack.

Key Requirements:
- 10+ years, hands-on experience architecting and implementing software
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
- Software engineering experience with Python and one other object-oriented programming language (e.g. C#, Java, C++)
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Experience working with distributed high throughput systems
- Experience working with configuration/infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)
