Referment has partnered with a unique organisation that are building sustainable solutions for the energy/utilities space. They have a talented team based in Oxford who are in exciting phase of growth, expanding into new markets. They are growing their Software Engineering Team and are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to work collaboratively within their tight knit team delivering software for their next-gen products.
This role will require a Senior Software Engineer who has deep experience with backend software engineering and has worked on distributed systems. Whether this is with Azure Message Hub or Kafka Streaming technologies, what they’re seeking is a passionate software engineer who has deep experience that can challenge the architecture and tech roadmap. They’re building their Greenfield systems on Azure, so experience with this Is ideal.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned software engineer to work closely with the head of engineering and CTO to work on some exciting Greenfield projects, share and develop software engineering practices with junior train/mentor members and drive their product forwards.
Key Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in C# software engineeringAt least 5 years’ experience building distributed systems.
Previous experience of building on Azure, GCP or AWS (preferably Azure)
Good working knowledge of SQL Server
Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka and/or Azure Message Hub
Excellent communication skills
Keen on joining a small firm that is about to enter a phase of rapid growth.
This is a hybrid role, which will require 2 days in the office in their Oxford HQ.
