Referment has partnered with an exciting start-up within the Insurance Technology space that are set to launch their platform later on this year. This firm has a strong Quantitative background as they’re a spin-out from a quant research group that focus on the asset management, Commodities and Insurance space, who have set themselves ambitious targets this year. They’re seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their group, manage their modelling and pricing algorithms for their home insurance platform.

This role will require the successful applicant to setup and monitor their pricing algorithm, cover all issues in around pricing and manage the product development team that are building out the core systems. A Data Scientist with strong experience in working with end-to-end Machine Learning, data modelling, and treatment of data. A strong mathematical background is essential with string data mining and statistical skills. You will have to be highly proactive, to test and challenge the product and driving pricing changes. This is a highly rewarding role to join a tight-knit team and be an integral member of delivering a world class product to the hone insurance space.

Key Requirements:

Extensiveness experience in the world of Data Science and modelling
Strong data mining, mathematical and statistical analysis experience
A problem-solver
Skilled in Python, SQL, and Excel
Entrepreneurial.
Excellent communication skills
Pro-active, can-do attitude
Insurance Pricing experience would be a plus but not a must have.
